Since its creation in 2004, the German manufacturer Sas-Tec has quickly become one of the market leaders in shock-absorbing protectors for the motorcycle industry. This flexible green 3D hip protector is made of visco-elastic foam. Good shock absorbing properties are a fact, although with about 60 grams this is a lightweight. The residual force according to EN 1621-2 is less than 18 kN (standard, level 2: 20 kN). This makes this hip protector about 10% better than the required minimum. The hip protector is composed of segments attached to each other for an optimal fit and adapts perfectly to the body. Sas-Tec recommends these protectors for additional use on shoulders, elbows and knees.
Protectors are reusable, even after a fall, and can be easily washed and maintained.
