Size recommendation: We did the test for you. Our size 44 have a hard time finding their place in these. This motorcycle footwear is smaller, tighter, a bit narrower than we are used to. Choosing a bigger size won't hurt, because the size chart of this motorcycle footwear is tight.
Whether you're a seasoned motorcyclist or an occasional rider: sometimes you don't feel like wearing those motorcycle boots. The Modeka Lane offers the same protection, but in a lighter and quicker to put on stylish package. It almost looks like a sneaker ... Or better: it just is. The style expert says that combining them with a good pair of motorcycle jeans is just about essential.
For the price of a normal pair of sneakers, you get a pair that offers effective impact protection. Modeka gave them a vintage look and a 100% cowhide leather exterior. The ankle is protected by two plastic elements, left and right. The shoe tip is also extra reinforced. The link reinforcement consists of an extra layer of leather and because both shoes have an identical finish, it is hardly noticeable. We already said it: this is not a motorcycle shoe that looks like a sneaker, but a sneaker with the features of a motorcycle shoe.
Opening and closing is done with laces. White or black, the choice is completely personal because both colours are included in the box. The rubber anti-slip sole ensures that you stay firmly on your feet even next to your motorcycle.
We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent maintenance product, this treatment ensures that the shoe does not get soaked and that the dirt does not attach to the shoe as easily. For longer-term maintenance, it is advisable to use a nourishing balm to keep the leather supple.
The higher the fashion level - and the level of ‘we don’t really look like motorcycle shoes’-, the smaller the chance your leather shoes have a full-fledged shifting reinforcement. No problem on a scooter but on a motorbike, the multitude of shifting will quickly cause wear and tear. A shame of the leather shoes because this “wear and tear” will not often be incorporated in the warranty conditions.
You’d better take precautions, give yourself a hand or a foot in this case and add an extra layer to your leather motorcycle shoe or your gear lever. There are a number of options available in our range.
