This is the smallest tanklock tankbag in the Metro-T range. This smallest of the Metro's can only be mounted on a tanklock mounting ring. You can find the right tanklock mounting ring for your bike here.
The shoulder strap can also be used as an adjustable safety strap for additional securing around the steering head to ensure it stays in place at all times. Two external side pockets - zippered separately, locked with a combination lock and easily accessible from the outside - offer limited storage options. The main compartment has a long zipper with two pulls. By bringing the openings of both pullers together you can close the tankbag with a lock. The central storage compartment has no extra divisions. In the lid there is a separate - zipped - storage compartment, as well as space for a smartphone.
The Givi Metro-T 5L is made of sturdy 600D polyester and has anti-slip material at the bottom of the base. Scratches or damage to the fuel tank are thus avoided. A separate waterproof rain cover is included. The handle allows you to take the tankbag easily with you when making a stop. The included shoulder strap turns the bag into a backpack/shoulder bag in no time.
The volume of the Metro-T 5L is - you guessed it - 5 liters, with dimensions of 28 cm x 22 cm x 17 cm. The bag can be unfolded by means of the height-adjustable closure. The bag can be locked with an optional combination lock.
Attention! Tanklock tankbags are attached to the petrol cap and that is - if all goes well - standard in one place. That means: you can't really 'move' with a tanklock tankbag, like with magnetic bags you can choose whether you put them higher or lower on the tank. Short nakeds with a relatively small fuel tank and large tankbags that use tanklock can cause a conflict at handlebar height. In any case: more luggage space should never be at the expense of better handling.
But ... there are solutions. The bigger the tankbag, the more flexibility it usually offers. The mounting ring of the tank latch system can - in certain cases - be moved. Not meters, but enough to create space and safety.
However, this tankbag has a size that is rather limited. The chance of a conflict is therefore small. Adjustment possibilities at the mounting ring are not available.
This tankbag is standard equipped with a cable grommet, through which you can connect electrical devices with a plug mounted on the motorcycle during the ride or with the GIVI USB hub. Or vice versa, when you want to link an electrical device (on the handlebars) to a powerbank (inside the tankbag).
