These high, newly developed motorcycle boots are mainly aimed at the sporty motorcyclist, both on track and on public roads. Flexibility and anatomy are the key words. You can combine this boot with a full race suit or with (motor)jeans.
Flexibility first: the striking accordion panels at the front and rear provide optimal freedom of movement on and off the bike. The SMX-6 V2 is equipped with the Drystar membrane developed by Alpinestars, which doesn't let moisture in, but rather lets it out. Breathable, but waterproof, which makes this boot actually usable all year round. The air intake on the shin and matching exhaust on the heel give away extra ventilating properties.
Anatomy then. The TPU ankle brace is a striking eye-catcher on the SMX-6 V2. It allows for comfortable movement, but supports the ankle in the event of a crash. The heel and shin, which are also vulnerable in the event of a crash, are made from hard TPU. Reinforcements on the sole and the toes are important, just like the shift reinforcement and the replaceable toe glider.
Made of durable and breathable (patented and new) microfibre material, this boot offers great value for money in the form of strength and comfort. A removable anatomical footbed with EVA and lycra especially enhance the latter. The Alpinestars exclusive rubber compound sole offers improved water drainage and good grip.
The large (side) entry makes it easy for almost everyone to get into the boot. Opening and closing is done by means of a zipper and velcro system for optimal fit. The puller of the zipper can be attached inside the boot, so it is not in the way.
