The Bad Eddie is a far from bad motorcycle jacket, although the name suggests otherwise. If you are looking for a leather jacket which can be used in many circumstances, both on and off the bike, then you have found it.
High-quality cowhide leather on the outside provides - besides a sleek look - a lot of protection. Leather and water are not the best of friends, although at first glance the smooth wax layer suggests otherwise. However, a closer look reveals that the panels of perforated leather require rather dry riding conditions. It's okay if it's cold out, with the adjustable thermal lining you are well protected. The hood can be zipped off just as easily and when it gets warmer, the previously mentioned pieces of perforated leather and the ventilation zippers at the front and the back certainly offer some cooling down.
All in all, you can be sure of this: as long as water doesn't come down in buckets, you're fine with the Bad Eddie.
Everything is closed up with a sturdy central zipper. Further, it is mainly a matter of choosing the right size due to the lack of extra adjustment possibilities. Thanks to a zipper with push button at the end of each sleeve you can choose if you want to wear your gloves in or over your jacket. There are three front pockets for storage. Zip them up so you don't lose anything. The thermal lining has two extra inner pockets. The shoulder and elbow protectors meet all requirements to be EN 1621-1- certified. The foam standard back protector can be replaced by an SAS-TEC® version.
Discreet reflective strips (3M™ Scotchlite™) ensure decent visibility in the evening and at night. Combining this jacket with a good pair of motorcycle jeans is an obvious choice.
Below you will find an overview per jacket size of the appropriate CE homologated SAS-TEC® back protector.
