The Livengood GTX is a mid-length waterproof glove from REV'IT!, and while we usually take "waterproof" in the context of gloves with a pinch of salt, you can expect the best here.
Much of this is thanks to the laminated GORE-TEX membrane with Gore™-Grip Technology. Technical language for a waterproof membrane laminated directly to the inside of the shell. You're still with me? Okay, that technology keeps rain confined to the outermost shell. So, no gloves that seem to come out of a bucket of water, always light to the touch and dry. The inside - a soft and pleasant thermal lining - has an additional insulating effect and although thin, these gloves can be worn well into winter.
The feeling is good. The same goes for the exterior. Goatskin leather on the palm, whether or not in extra layers, just like on the fingertips, provides good grip. PWR|Oxford on the back of the hand, where you'll also find soft knuckle protection (3D SEESOFT™), ensures solid protection. The fingers are protected in a similar way, while the palm has a hard protector (TPU).
The lower half of the Livengood GTX consists of PWR|Ripstop stretch, which will almost certainly provide good protection for the wrist. At the wrist - and more specifically when opening or closing - is another innovation to be found. The 'single-motion closure' allows in one smooth motion to both strap and with the corresponding and connected velcro strip to open and/or close. Easier, faster and above all: with the other hand already in a glove you notice the difference very clearly.
Flock PU material on the index finger serves as a visor wiper and a stripe of well-functioning Connect fingertip fabric that allows you to operate a smartphone, make the Livengood GTX a glove of very high level.
