The Mimba is - in this men's version - a good, waterproof glove that you will be able to wear for a very large portion of the year.
Extreme heat and extreme cold might be just a bit too much, but everything in between is good. The Mimba consists of a combination of textile, abrasion-resistant Amara and goatskin leather. Of course, you can always go completely wrong, but this is not the case. Not at all. The Amara is situated on the palm of the hand and the leather on the ball of the hand. All critical zones can count on a high level of protection.
More importantly, the solto-TEX® membrane on the inside will keep your hands nice and dry, and to keep everything comfortable, the integrated membrane is coated with a layer of tri-fleece. That sounds very wintry, although the Mimba remains clearly thinner padded than what we expect from a real winter glove. On the other hand, in times of heated grips and climate change it is not excluded that in April you find out that you have been wearing this glove all year.
And why not? The Mimba LT extends to the wrist and there is velcro both on the cuff and just below the hand which allows you to tighten everything to the right size. The impact protection consists of padding. Nothing hard, but polyurethane on the fingers and the knuckles for an extra layer. Not every hand is identical, but with neoprene accordion strips on both thumb and back of hand, flexibility - and therefore comfort - is a certainty.
Although not very noticeable during the day, the Mimba is extensively provided with reflection material.
