This additive prevents engines from overheating. More specifically: in normal use, no engine should overheat so don’t think of this as a remedy. However, when the motorbike engine needs to push out everything it has – racing conditions – a little extra cooling in the shape of a gulp of MoCool could certainly help.
The difference is about 15 degrees Celsius. Or 30° Fahrenheit. This is the result of improved efficiency and thermal exchange.
MoCool is a concentrated coolant. You can also use MoCool as coolant by mixing 5% (20:1) with distilled water. So never use it undiluted. Careful: not every racing regulation allows the use of ‘improved’ coolant. Take this into account and check the regulation beforehand.
MoCool protects the water pump and cooling system against corrosion and can be used in/with magnesium, the aluminium alloys, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze systems. Gaskets, rubber tubes and plastic parts are not impacted. The anti-corrosion properties remain intact at high temperatures and ageing.
Note: It is best not to combine this additive with glycerine-based coolant.
