With the combination of Talismen, Modeka pushes open the big gate of the better work. And not carefully but instantly and at full power. 'We're here and we're here to stay!' These are the motorcycle pants, but believe us when we say that the biker jacket of the same name deserves some of your attention as well.
The hard-wearing exterior looks - up close - a tad atypical and that has everything to do with the high doses of stretch material (5%) and high-strength DuPont™ Kevlar (12%) that reinforce the polyamide base. In other words, textile with a high plastic content, with the advantage that they are more 'producible’ than natural materials. In the case of these motorbike pants this results in a kind of second skin. In other words: the comfort of jogging pants, including elasticity, with all the functions of top-of-the-range biker pants.
It is class. This 3-in-1 has a removable Sympatex® membrane on board which excels, in addition to water and windproofness, in breathability. Add to that the removable thermal lining and you know immediately that this is a pair of motorbike pants that will stand you in good stead from January to December. Wherever you ride. Whenever you want. The ventilation options are just as versatile: with AirVent (the traditional zippered vents) and AirDraft (large retractable surfaces with magnets) there are two systems on board which guarantee more than adequate air flow in all conditions.
It's all good. Pleasant. Comfortable. Flexible. It all looks a lot lighter than it is. Once you're in it, anyway, because a 3-in-1 is still a large piece of clothing.
That 'sitting in it' is totally fine by the way. The openings at the bottom - complete with blue zipper - are provided with a cord with Microlock. Getting in and out is never a problem. Your calves got a serious piece of extra Kevlar to keep radiant heat away from your (booted) lower legs and at the height of both knees you will find the same anti-slip strip that has been applied to the seat. Under and above the knee (with stretch) two press buttons offer the possibility to adjust the width of the pant legs in function of the membrane and/or lining.
Sliding a little more towards the thighs, we get close to the two cargo pockets and the slit pockets above them. So, lots of storage space, and with the ventilation openings (double system!) it seems to get a bit crowded here, although ease of use ensures that there's never any reason to panic.
On the waist, a closure with push button and slider makes sure the pants stay closed when they need to. The extra belt with velcro strip on top of the closure also allows for adjustment, although a lot of slack comes from the wide elastic bands. The adjustable suspenders are easily removable. At the back, the piece that connects to the lower back is the best proof of the care and attention to detail that went into the development of the Talismen motorbike pants.
With CE-certified SAS-TEC knee and hip protectors on board as standard, this is without a doubt a top-act.
Combine it of course with the Talismen jacket.
