The Baxters from Modeka is a very competitively priced 3-in-1 motorcycle pants which you can and will enjoy without any doubt.
The exterior is made of 600D-polyester. Tear and wear resistant textile is what we expect from a full-fledged motorcycle pants. Modeka provides the Baxters with an extra, double layer where impact is the biggest risk. The removable Hitex®-membrane is the water- and windproof solution which is almost always used by Modeka. With good reason of course, because it works. If it is not enough to keep the cold out, you can use the removable thermal lining. All together you have three - in itself good - layers with various properties. And because flexibility is a prerequisite for 3-in-1 pants, the other extreme is also possible: everything overboard and the ventilation openings fully unzipped.
You have to admit, it would take a lot not to be able to use the Baxters. With a non-slip pad on the seat and a double option (upper and lower legs, three buttons each) to vary the width of the pant legs, the Baxters are the perfect choice. The trousers are always well fitted. At the back of the knees, you'll find stretch material and the traditional accordion strip at the front, but the goal is the same: comfort. On and off the bike.
Next to comfort, safety is the most important thing when it comes to biker's pants. Fortunately, Modeka shares this concern. The knee protectors are CE certified (EN 16-1:2012, level 1). Hip protectors are not standard, although you can optionally upgrade: Modeka suggests the SAS-TEC SC-1/07 as the most appropriate choice.
You can get in and out with motorcycle shoes or boots on your feet. A long zipper at the bottom creates space. On top, there are a number of extras which keep you comfortable once you are in the Baxters. A closure with push button and slider keeps the pants closed when needed. The extra belt with velcro strip on top of the closure also allows for adjustment. The adjustable suspenders are easily removable.
In two easily-closable pant pockets you get the chance to store a few things. The reflective material - in the middle and at the bottom - ensures your visibility. The connection zipper keeps many combination possibilities completely open.
