The Panamericana is the name for the roads that lead from the north to the south of the American continent. You can expect a lot from motorcycle pants with the same name, and in this case rightly so.
Water and windproof. Hardwearing. Ventilating. Plenty of storage. It's all there. On the outside, the Panamericana is made out of a well-considered combination of 750 D Tactel® reinforced with 1000 D Cordura® in potentially high-risk areas and DuPont™ KEVLAR® as an extra heat shield on the back of the calf. A removable Sympatex® membrane provides water and windproof, as well as breathable, properties. When temperatures drop, a removable thermal lining offers extra comfort. Of course, the opposite is also possible. In that case the Panamericana has Air Draft Technology in the form of ventilation zippers that can be transformed into fully ventilating panels (at the front) with the help of good magnets. Summer or winter, from Canada to Argentina, there's little these pants can't handle.
Accordion panels above the knee and stretch fabric at crotch level add to the comfort and agility of these all-round motorcycle pants. Anti-slip material on the seat ensures a good sitting position. The back is finished slightly higher than the front, to ensure sufficient protection even in a typical motorcycle seating position. Accordion fabric just above the seat adds to the comfort.
The knee protectors are height adjustable and CE-approved SAS-TEC. Hip protection SAS-TEC SC-1/07 or SC-1/KA is optional. A half-length zipper at the bottom (inside) provides the necessary ease of entry. The Panamericana can be adjusted as desired. Velcro strips at the bottom, three press-studs on the calf and another three on the back of the thighs, velcro strips on the waist, as well as elastic bands ... the possibilities are almost endless. Once closed, it stays closed: the hook-and-button closure, complemented by a zipper and velcro strip makes sure of that.
The standard supplied suspenders are adjustable in length and easy to remove or attach, depending on the needs of the day.
The long connection zipper fits all Modeka jackets, although it is obvious that the Panamericana jacket of the same name is preferred in this case.
We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent care product. This treatment will prevent your pants from getting soaked and will also prevent dirt from sticking to them.
