The Modeka Tourex Kids II is a budget-friendly entry-level jacket for kids who like to ride pillion. This second (II) version is a further development of the original. There is also a full-fledged 'big people' motorcycle jacket with the same name.
Just to say: this is not a half-baked version, it's a full-fledged children's jacket*, who can even grow a little.
The short textile jacket (600D polyester) is waterproof and comes standard with a breathable mesh lining to reduce perspiration. The non-removable, 100 % waterproof and windproof HITEX membrane offers comfort in many weather conditions. On cold days, it is perfectly possible to attach the included, removable, extra thermal liner for additional warmth. Assuming for the moment that you do not take children to ride pillion when it’s freezing your butts off, it means that the Tourex II for children is a motorcycle jacket that can be used all year round. Ventilation openings on the chest and back (Air Vent) allow for riding wind to pass.
A soft collar with velcro closure, a double adjustment option with velcro strips on the arms and velcro at the flanks provide a perfect, tight and centered fit. The sleeves of the jacket can be lengthened by several centimeters (5) by means of a zipper around the elbow, for our fast-growing little persons.
Four exterior front pockets, and two interior pockets - one of which is in the removable lining, specifically for smartphone - provide convenient storage space. Sleeve ends are adjustable with velcro, allowing gloves to fit in or over the jacket.
Approved CE-protectors (WINNER) on the shoulders and elbows make this an extremely safe motorcycle jacket. Optionally, a CE-approved SAS-TEC back protector can be installed. Adequate reflective material provides increased visibility in the evening or at night.
This jacket is essentially black, although - especially in some versions - large colored areas and more subtle reflective strips provide better visibility in all conditions.
The jacket can be combined with the Tourex II Kids pants of the same name or a pair of kids jeans, thanks to a connecting zipper.
Children's clothing: *8 years is the minimum age for children to ride along on motorcycles with a displacement of more than 125 cc.
