With these full-fledged motorcycle pants, children (from 8 years of age*) can and are allowed to ride safely, comfortably and in all conditions on the back of a motorcycle.
The exterior consists of abrasion- and tear-resistant 600D polyester and the pants are equipped with a non-removable, waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane of the Hitex® Z-liner type. This means that the passenger is just as comfortable at the back as the driver in the front. By the way, the thermal lining, which provides extra comfort on cold days, can be unzipped. It expands the versatility of the Tourex Kids II. Even broader than we initially thought. The reverse is also possible (too hot!) and then the Air Vent System in the form of zippered vents are the solution.
These 2-in-1 children's motorcycle pants is adjustable in length for about five centimeters by means of a zipper just below the knee. Unless they have a very rapid growth spurt, the Tourex Kids II can easily serve for two seasons.
The CE-approved knee protectors (EN 1621-1: 2012 level 1) offer full protection from impact. As in: identical to that of a 'grown man's pants'. Hip protectors are not standard, although you can optionally expand: Modeka suggests the SAS-TEC SC-1/07 as the most appropriate choice. At the bottom, a zipper and velcro guarantee easy entry and exit.
There are automatic adjustment possibilities thanks to the elastic material at the waist. A closure with push button ensures that the pants remain closed when needed. The extra belt with velcro strip on top of the closure also allows for adjustment options. In two well-sealed pants pockets you get the chance to store a few things.
The Tourex Kids II is equipped with suspenders, but they can be removed quickly. Stretch panels on the flank and lower back provide better mobility on and off the bike.
8 years is the minimum age for children to ride along on motorcycles with a displacement of more than 125cc.
