The Tropic 3.0 is, in the first place, a summer jacket which will give you a lot of pleasure on warm days, but ... the Tropic 3.0 can in no time be lined with rain lining and that opens perspectives.
The highlight is in the (blue) details. More specifically in the blue loops on the inside. Who ever fitted a membrane in a motorcycle jacket, knows the deal. Here we restrict ourselves to the Tropic 3.0 itself, because it is a very good summer jacket. The expected features are present: a lot of mesh. A lot of wind. And still a solid base, consisting of 600D. Never a bad choice when you're looking for a durable and tear-resistant material. The combination works and immediately makes ventilation zippers and the like superfluous.
Internally, CE-certified Safe Tech impact protectors (EN1621-1:2012) provide an extra layer of protection. An optional CE-approved back protector is available for those who find it necessary. Everything is provided for that.
The Tropic 3.0 is a short motorcycle jacket. A perfectly logical cut - and choice - for a jacket that you wear when it's often too hot to put on a motorcycle jacket. Then you don't need extra length. Then you want as little as possible, with as many options as possible. And the Tropic 3.0 does just that.
The upper arms got a snap button; the sleeve ends have a zipper. On the waist you find left and right a velcro loop. Together, all these elements offer a number of individual customization possibilities. Or even better: the same comfort level, after adding an optional lining to the Tropic 3.0.
