Never change a winning team, they say. And now toss that saying aside, is what the people at REV'IT thought, when they came up with the Xena 3 motorcycle jacket. Of course, you can't expect a total change: what's good, is good. But the details make it even better.
The Xena 3 jacket is therefore a lot of sporty looks, a high degree of fashion consciousness and a lot of motorbike fun in one, tightly designed package that can be used in a wide variety of conditions. The exterior is a mix of cowhide leather, PWR|SHELL-stretch, 3D-mesh and a - very subtle - reflective accent. Tight, stylish and like a second skin around the body, this is, in addition to state-of-the-ART protection, also unusually sharp and feminine. Even more so than its predecessor. The new design - with forged carbon look – has something to do with that, although you can also easily spend some time discovering the many details that are actually everywhere.
The removable thermal body warmer will give you a lot of pleasure at cooler times. Keep in mind that water and wind will not stay on the outside 100%. Parts of the leather are perforated, which benefits ventilation. That body warmer illustrates that the Xena 3 jacket is not a pure racer. Those looking for that should look towards the Xena 3 one-piece, which is even better suited for that purpose. The Xena 3 jacket is significantly more versatile.
Stretch material and accordion fabric allow you to still be able to put your hair in a ponytail and at the waist you can adjust the fit a little by means of two velcro straps. At the end of the sleeves, thanks to a zipper and velcro strip, you can choose: gloves above or underneath the jacket. Very much storage space there is not. More than in a race suit, less than in a touring jacket. Choosing is losing, but you can certainly store the essentials in the two zippered pockets or the inside pocket of the body warmer. And don't forget: you still look phenomenally sharp and feminine.
Impact protection is obviously at the top level for a jacket of this order. SEEFLEX™ Level 2 CE protection on the elbows and shoulders is standard, and exceeds the standard. Got 'em? The lack of external shoulder and elbow sliders is a further indication of the street use and versatility we were talking about earlier. A SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector can of course be integrated as an option.
The long and short connection zippers make the combination with the Xena 3 pants an obvious choice, although any pair of REV'IT jeans will do, of course.
