RAM® Mounts is an example of a company name that has gradually become synonymous with the product. In this case: a system that uses balls and clamps to fasten just about anything to motorcycle handlebars.
Under normal circumstances, this would provide you with a bit of a puzzle. It can be hard to find the best way to attach your stuff to a bike. In this particular case, the puzzle has already been solved. RAM® Mount X-Grip® Large, the extension arm and U-bolt in one handy package.
The X-Grip® is the alternative to an - often empty - smartphone holder or plastic sleeve on your handlebars. It's more stylish, more practical, more elegant and actually just more convenient. The only condition is that you don't exceed the outer width of the holder. WThe width is a minimum of 4.44 centimeters and a maximum of 11.43 centimeters. The depth is always 2.22 cm, to stay on the safe side.
This spring supported holder always has the perfect fit for your smartphone or motorcycle navigation. The legs are from stainless steel, and come with rubber caps that can be glued on, just to make sure they won't come off on rough roads. If you still not sure about the gripping power, you can use the supplied elastic band as an extra insurance.
At the back you'll find the characteristic 1'' ball: the basis for a huge range of attachments and extensions. In this case we're talking about the 9.5 cm extension arm, that - in junction with the two balls - allows you to put the device in as good as any conceivable position.
The entire contraption is fixed to the handlebar with the U-bolt base. This handlebar clamp can be used for everything else RAM® Mounts has to offer. The narrow shape of the U-bolt base makes it the perfect solution for handlebars or other places that have little space left or to begin with.
With two U-bolts in the package various handlebar or tube diameters between 12.7 mm and 31.75 mm can be used.
