The Tough-Claw is pretty much the foundation of everything else RAM MOUNTS has to offer. This durable and strong nylon construction with stainless steel consists mainly of a 'clamping jaw' which is specially designed for mounting on flat, round or non-standard shapes. Mounting is quick and easy, without tools, and the rubber pads on the inside of the claw (or jaw, if you prefer) offer both protection to and grip on the mounting surface. That mounting surface, in this case, may have a round outside diameter of 15 to 38 mm. For flat surfaces, anything between 0 and 29 mm is possible.
The other end, of course, consists of the distinctive 1'' ball that serves as a base for just about any conceivable attachment or accessory.
The ball is a standard size, which makes it compatible with just about all GPS and smartphone holders, RAM arms and anything else that might find its way into the cockpit of a motorcycle now or in the future.
Mounting this clamp is done with a single bolt and screw.
