With the ION you get a very good winter glove. Top quality on every terrain, with some smart innovations and appropriate for the serious winter rider.
Oh, and we haven't even mentioned the electric heating yet.
The ION is the better stuff when it comes to heated motorcycle gloves. Although the cuff naturally doubles as a storage compartment for the 7.4V/2,2A batteries that serve as power source, the cuff length remains within reason. Halfway to the wrist is no exception for winter gloves. Batteries are included. Those who want to switch everything up a level can choose to use 12V batteries if necessary.
Impact protection is clearly present. On the back, it's hard to ignore the RISC knuckle protector, while the palm is protected with an EVA slider.
This electrically heated winter motorcycle glove is made from "softflex" textile and goatskin leather. The latter provides not only wear resistance but also more grip. An integrated Raintex membrane - treated to withstand the temperature fluctuations of an electric motorcycle glove - guarantees water-resistance, without compromising on breathability. Inside, Bemberg textile ensures comfort.
All in all, this means: waterproof and warm. The button to activates the battery, we haven't touched yet. If you do, four colours indicate the level. The higher, the faster you'll see the battery life decrease.

The Centrack velcro closure, at a movable angle of 30° for more freedom of movement, ensures that the motorcycle glove stays in place. On the cuff, there is a second velcro closure that allows the motorcycle gloves to be adjusted for more comfort over or under the jacket.
The motorcycle gloves are comfortable to put on and take off. Additional weight is located on the inside of the wrist, where the lithium batteries are located. Handy features include a 'screen cleaner', both left and right, index fingers with 'touch tip' to operate a touch screen, and the ergonomically pre-shaped thumb pieces.
Optional other features include various electrical cables that connect the
gloves to the motorcycle battery, each with their respective plug. Additional
batteries, the 12V upgrade and/or chargers are options.
These heated gloves
use a maximum of 3.1 amps.
’Warmth' comes in different intensities and degrees, but the place where the
warmth manifests itself plays a role as well, of course.
Here we are talking
specifically about the topside of the fingers and fingertips.
It goes
without saying that the heat, once it is present, does disperse, which - more
than heating up a single spot - ensures the best effect.
Since these gloves contain electronic components, it goes without saying that they cannot be put in the washing machine. A gentle hand wash is possible though, provided you dry the connectors with a hair dryer after washing.
