With this Ventura, Segura delivers a waterproof, leather motorcycle jacket. A nice combination, and you can pour a serious amount of 'retro' on it.
Or what else would you call the white stripes, the patches and the shoulder pads? They fit perfectly with the 'I've been used for a while' look that the whole jacket radiates, and that's okay.
The leather in question is Drago cowhide: sturdy and a bit stubborn. Like men who founded motorcycle clubs in the 1950's, actually. Of course Segura is wise enough not to be too nostalgic, so the Ventura is not only waterproof, but also a smooth, pleasant and comfortable jacket.
This is partly due to the integrated waterproof membrane. It gives the jacket an extra layer, and together with the removable, 90 grams heavy thermal lining, this seems to deliver a lot of benefits, especially in mid-season and winter. Although the Ventura is a very breathable jacket, it's still made of leather and the lack of specific ventilation openings makes high summer not this jacket's favorite season.
Segura loves a classic cut and this one is no different. It's called the 'Regular Fit', and actually it means that a 'normal' body can travel with this jacket without any problems. And there is plenty of room, because with five outer pockets and three inner pockets there is no lack of storage space.
The protection material consists of OMEGA protectors. This translates into relatively thin and flexible impact protection at both elbows and shoulders. Fitting an optional CE-certified back protector is also possible.
The Ventura is perfect to combine with (motorcycle) jeans.
