When closed, the Evojet is easily mistaken for a full-face helmet, even though it is still a flip-up helmet. A new model, with focus on maximum protection, that's the idea.
And a pretty innovative design was needed to achieve this. The Evojet's chin guard is attached to the visor. This takes some getting used to for the wearer of a traditional motorcycle helmet, but this motorcycle helmet certainly has its place in an urban, contemporary environment.
It helps that Shark has chosen a minimalistic style. A bit of futurism benefits from this, so you get a very round shape, without many protruding or striking elements. The Evojet has a lot of advantages. Starting with the top and chin ventilation.
The helmet shell is made of injected thermoplastic. The helmet shell comes in two sizes to fit all helmet sizes, thus remaining compact and light. The chin is - whatever the angle of view - an eye-catcher. The visor is attached to it, so the whole thing flips open in one smooth motion. One hand is enough and it's a light version of what you usually find in a flip-up helmet mechanism that ensures a smooth operation. A jet helmet with the look of a full-face helmet and the functionality of an open-face helmet, that's three in one.
The transparent visor is - apart from the chin guard - as you would expect: anti-scratch, with an anti-vapor construction and a very wide field of vision. Besides the transparent visor, you can also count on the assistance of an integrated sun visor with UV380 label. On the left, the slider that emerges from under the visor mechanism cover ... yes, that’s the one. Easy to operate, and stylish. Despite the cover (which you can easily remove), the transparent visor is equipped with a Microlock system. The toolbox can just stay in your cabinet.
The interior is antibacterial, made of recycled fibers, removable, washable and equipped with the 'EasyFit' cut-outs which make it easy and comfortable for glasses-wearers. There is bitterly little to say about it, in other words, unless we stick to: very, very good.
The Evojet is without a doubt not an 'ordinary' motorcycle helmet. Not at all visually. In terms of protection, this is not a bad thing. The micrometric fastener is adjustable and just like the rest of the helmet it is finished with an eye for detail.
For cleaning the outside of your helmet we can recommend S100 helmet cleaner. The helmet interior can also be cleaned (without removing it) with S100 interior cleaner. A treatment on the outside of the visor with Rain-X anti-rain spray improves visibility during rain showers.
The reflective stickers that are mandatory in France to stick on the helmet are included.

Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night scratches cause a blinding reflection of streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
