The Shoei NXR is a compact ultra-light sports helmet without a sun visor.
The AIM outer shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix) is made of different fiberglass layers, each with specific properties. There are no less than four different outer shell sizes made for the NXR. This ensures that every helmet size has the most compact and lightest outer shell. The shock-absorbing EPS inner shell consists of different densities for optimal protection. In the inner shell there is room for intercom speakers. The interior is removable and washable. The cheek pads are equipped with an emergency strip, making it easy to remove them from the helmet in case of high urgency.
The Shoei NXR is standardly equipped with a clear visor. Other shades and colors are also available as an option. The NXR is equipped with a ventilation option to keep the visor open a few milliliters without being closed again by the wind. The visor is equipped for an anti-fog Pinlock lens, which is supplied separately in the box.
The Shoei NXR is equipped with an excellent ventilation system. At the front of the helmet, there are four lockable air inlets; a chin vent and three top vents. In the rear spoiler there are six air outlets to let the warm air out of the helmet. Another important detail: the chin strap is closed with a Double-D ring buckle which offers you the greatest security at all time. It is therefore not surprising that so many track riders are big fans of the Shoei NXR.
To clean the outside of your helmet, we can recommend the S100 helmet cleaner . The helmet interior can also be cleaned without removing it, with the S100 interior cleaner. A treatment on the outside of the visor with Rain-X anti-rain spray improves visibility during rain.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches can cause blinding reflections of street lights and/or headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
