This perforated one-piece suit is aiming high. Very high. As a technological upgrade of the Laguna Seca 4 racing suit, there are few better alternatives. Unless you are the suit of Valentino Rossi himself.
This version of the Laguna Seca 4 one-piece racing suit (an icon, to be sure) is just as comfortable on the road as it is in track practice.
Tutu-cowhide leather makes up the largest part of this perforated racing suit. Logical, because wear and tear resistant, but in the case of this perforated DAINESE Laguna Seca 4 you can also add a hefty dose of ventilation panels and a whole battery of high-tech materials in function of comfort, freedom of movement and flexibility.
The list is pretty impressive: from the elastic inserts in the collar (and actually everywhere in the suit), to the integrated system that allows you to attach your boots to the one-piece suit, to the lining lycra and the tried and tested Microelastic 2.0 and the Tri-axial Technology on the back, this is - in three letters - TOP. With a further dose of aluminum and titanium, and the S1 bi-elastic material you get an impressive unit.
The aerodynamics are more than on point for a suit of this caliber: the hump is one that can accommodate a camelbag. The perforated version of the Laguna Seca 4 is anatomically preformed and should really become a second skin. Only then does it really come into its own.
DAINESE takes the impact protection straight from the MotoGP: Aluminum shoulder plates and RSS 2.0 elbow sliders. Elbow and shoulder protection in composite (EN 1621.1 - level 1) and an identical set at the knees. The hips receive a set of Pro-shape protectors and the one-piece racing suit as a whole is certified to the CE-Cat. II-89/686/EEC-standard. A back protector is not foreseen and cannot be fitted. With the separate Dainese Wave D1- and Dainese Manis D1 back protectors in the range, there is no excuse for not being fully equipped for the job.
The real performers can put their elbow to the ground. The external elbow sliders are, like the external knee pads, of course, quickly interchangeable. The elbow sliders require just a little more work to replace, and by "just" we mean: you have to turn them a quarter turn to loosen them. This is, in every part, a top of the bill suit.
We don't have to explain that it can get pretty warm on and off the track. DAINESE has a lot in its expertise box to help you out with this problem. They use 3D-Bubble inserts, there is a lot of perforation in this particular suit, and the NanoFeel® removable and washable lining is also an asset.
Smooth, flat zippers on the calves and sleeve ends make this suit fit like a glove. The print is straightforward, with the eye-catching logo prominently on the chest.
You will find one inner pocket in this 'class suit', which is a play on words from ‘classy'. With a 'Protection & Cleaning kit' and a storage bag for the entire thing this is very complete gear to go for miles. And bends.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
