Since 2009 the Laguna Seca family tree is the essence of DAINESE, in which all knowledge and experience gets their place. This translates into a number of - each time very strong - variations to the theme. Here it is a two-piece racing suit.
This two-piece version of the iconic racing suit - and we are already on to the fourth generation - is a superior solution in every area: comfort, safety, aerodynamics but also style and class.
The latest racing technology in a public road application consists to a very large extent of D-skin 2.0 full grain cowhide. Quite a mouthful, but the essence is always and everywhere the same: leather is and remains the best guarantee for a tear-resistant suit. In this case you may also add aluminum (yes, that's right) and S1 bi-elastic material.
From the elastic inserts in the collar (and in fact everywhere in the suit) to the integrated system for attaching motorcycle boots to the pants, over the longer back of the jacket and the use of Microelastic 2.0, this is more than top quality in two parts.
DAINESE brings the impact protection straight from the MotoGP. Elbow and shoulder protection in (EN 1621.1 - level 2) and an identical set on the knees, up to there, you get exactly the same as the Doctor. With an aluminum shoulder plate and another one at each elbow, it's all good on the outside too. The hips get a set of Pro-shape protectors and the two-piece racing suit as a whole is certified to the CE-Cat II-89/686/EEC-standard. A back protector is not provided and cannot be fitted. With the separate Wave D1 and Manis D1 back protectors in the range this is no excuse not to be fully equipped.
The real performers can put their elbow to the ground. The external elbow sliders are, like the external knee sliders, of course, quickly interchangeable. The elbow sliders require a little more work, and by 'just' we mean: you have to give them a quarter turn. This is, in every sense, a top of the range suit. In two parts.
We don't need to explain that it can get pretty warm on and off the track. DAINESE has everything in its expertise box to provide the right answer to this problem. They use 3D-Bubble inserts and on the flanks, you will also find some good ventilation zippers. The NanoFeel® removable and washable lining is also an asset.
The print is straightforward, with the eye-catching logo prominently displayed on the chest. Motorcycle jacket and pants form one (seamless, but not 'zipperless') unit though nobody will blame you if you just wear one or the other on the road. Or walking down the street. Or sitting in the couch.
You'll find one inside pocket in this 'classy suit'. And that last one is a play on words on 'class suit'. With a 'Protection & Cleaning kit' and a storage bag for the whole unit this is very complete gear to perform at your utmost. And through the bend.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
