The Orbyt is the ultimate jet helmet in the world of AGV. Forget the 'bucket on your head' because the Orbyt is a very modern, urban, comfortable motorbike helmet.
High Resistance Thermoplastic is AGV’s 'weapon of choice' for the two helmet shells for this Orbyt. Two helmet shells to accommodate the different helmet sizes, indeed. The result is a compact helmet, weighing in at a light 1300 grams, which is not too much at all considering the integrated sun visor and transparent visor.
There is even a top ventilation system. With a jet helmet this is not evident, although it has to be said: by cleverly positioning the (controllable) ventilation it keeps working, even with the sun visor flipped up. Clever. The interior of the Orbyt consists of Dry-Comfort and has an excellent fit. All parts are individually washable. Fitting a communication system should be easy: there is plenty of room for it.
The transparent visor covers your entire face. Anti-scratch and very easy to operate, it makes the Orbyt considerably more than a 'good-weather-motorbike helmet'. Should you prefer to go out, no problem: with the left cover plate on the visor mechanism you can operate the integrated anti-scratch sun visor.
The neck rim is nicely finished and quite long. The somewhat special 'kink' in the lower centimeters of the Orbyt creates that effect even more.
The adjustable closure is micrometric.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches or dullness cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
