A light, price-conscious, yet waterproof textile motorcycle jacket for just about everyday use. Sporty in style and versatile in character. Seemingly simple, but technically up to date. Look no further: the Alpinestars T-SPS.
The chassis - the exterior - consists of 600 Denier polyester with a double layer of polyurethane. The attentive motorcyclist (and we all are) will notice: 600 D. Often appears in the first paragraphs of motorcycle jackets, and for a very good reason. It is wear- and tear-resistant. A very good basis, and that's why Alpinestars also provides a layer of 600 Denier internally at the elbows and shoulders. Wear-resistant properties are rarely abundant, and in this case, it results in a very nice jacket. A light jacket too.
Light as in: easy to store, not annoying, without too many frills. Not as in: limited use. On the contrary, the T-SPS Waterproof is waterproof, thanks to the integrated polyester membrane. Those who feel the cold on the road can quickly and easily make use of the removable thermal lining. Ventilation comes from the two zippered vents under the armpits.
In motorcycling terms, the above package is quite sufficient. Especially if your motorcycling trips don't necessarily lead from the North Cape to the equator. The price is therefore an absolute asset. Alpinestars is a strong name and both visually and content-wise the T-SPS Waterproof is more than up to standard.
There are not many individual customization options. Sporty is the way to go and except for the waist, upper arms and sleeve ends, you don't have to play around with that much. Which makes 'except for' a very relative concept. Tight in the sporty suit, that's what you could call it. Two slit-pockets with zipper and a couple of inner-pockets, that's quite enough. Not to the North Cape or equator.
Alpinestars' own Nucleon Flex Plus armor on shoulders and elbows provides a good dose of impact protection. Never excessive, but performing. Lightweight too. An optional Nucleon Level 1 and / or Nucleon Level 2 Back Protector can be integrated easily and quickly, just like you have the possibility to add chest protectors. Reflective material on the upper arms - in the form of discrete stripes - is also available and a long connecting zipper leaves almost every combination possibility open.
Price-wise, this is without a doubt a top seller.
