These two Monokey® side cases have the same name as the top case, indicating they form a matching unit. They all sport that not very traditional style, that is somewhere in between "we're going to the airport" and "we're getting on the bike".
Befitting their name, they are quite light. That's where the semi-hard cover is responsible for. Compact they are too. Perfect for cutting traffic on a daily basis and even parked on the pavement it's handy when a motorcycle is not three meters wide. For that trip around the world you need something else, that's for sure.
Unlike the top case of the same name, the Weightless WL900 side cases do not have an extra zipper to increase their capacity. So you have to make do with the 25 litre you get from each case. Is that a lot? As often with motorcycles, it all depends on what you do with it. What is certain is that it sits well inside: a wide elastic band keeps everything neatly where you want to keep it, there is an extra mesh pocket and each side pannier contains a waterproof storage bag which is just as easy to use as it is to remove.
Visually, it's all right, a semi-hard black case with a few metallic details, it just has a certain style. Something that makes you think: I could get on a plane with this stylishly Italian case. The Monokey® system allows you to operate everything with a single key.
The Weightless WL900 side cases are opened by a zipper with two pulls. That doesn't mean anyone can open them, because on the side of the GIVI Weightless WL900, you will find an integrated lock that holds both pulls locked when not in use. Of course, you can set the lock with a numerical code yourself.
The GIVI side panniers are mounted with a minimum of technical knowledge or tools on the right tubular side case holders.
