GIVI gave the Sport-T family an integrated preformed, semi-rigid plastic. Sleek, stylish and 'semi-soft', that's how we would describe it, and in the case of these two side panniers the harder shell is logically on the outside.
This is a remarkably stylish luggage solution. Neatly finished, with an eye for detail. Ergonomic too. It makes these soft Easylock side cases a kind of 'in-between-the-two'. Rigid and yet still flexible.
For GIVI it is the definition of 'fast touring': fast, stylish, technical, compact and yet with a whole range of possibilities. Especially in times of ever-increasing aluminum side cases, the Sport-T side panniers stand out. And let's be honest: for a small week of motorcycling, you don't need three aluminum panniers. They would only be in the way. No, then these Sport-T semi-rigid side bags are a lot more practical. Especially on a sportier bike.
The exterior is UV-resistant and the main storage compartment has a long zipper with two pulls. By bringing the openings of both pullers together you can close each bag with a lock. The structure and the used material will withstand a rain shower. However, if it is really raining cats and dogs, you better use the rain cover that comes with the bag.
The central storage compartment consists of one compartment. An elastic band allows you to organize your own stuff, or prevents everything to change position at will while you’re on the go. Two safety straps prevent the contents of the bag from ending up on the street as soon as you open it. A mesh panel in the preformed lid gives the option of keeping the most essential things separate, and there is also room for some more behind the lid.
Each side bag is - thanks to a zipper all around - a bit 'stretchable': A depth of 4 to 5 centimeters provides a little extra storage space. Per bag, which remains quite compact with 30 x 26 or 30 x 45 cm, you can store quite a bit, although the Sport-TV is not quite suitable to store or transport large items.
A full-fledged motorcycle helmet cannot be stored in the bag.
