This short, lightweight, well-ventilated Massif is a strikingly colored combination of freedom, comfort and off-road protection. They're part of REV'IT's DIRT SERIES, and they're real crossers.
With the latter, do with it as you please. No one will stop you if you want to do something else with it, though both in looks and design the Massif is a motocross glove of the purest kind. They're thin and light, which inevitably shifts the emphasis from 'protecting' to 'steering well'. If you don't fall, you don't need much protection. And if you fall in mud or dust, it's different than if you want to slide across 50 meters of asphalt.
Those who had the latter in mind - well - will find a better, sturdier and more durable alternative in its 'big' brother: Caliber motorcycle gloves. Also from REV'IT! and also from the DIRT-SERIES.
The Massif has just about a constant flow of air and ventilation entering it. The PWR|STRETCH mesh on the back of the hand ensures that. The back of the hand is dominated by the TPR knuckle protection, which runs from halfway up the hand to halfway down the fingers. On the inside of the Massif, the silicone on the fingertips or the Clarino that covers the palm and provides extra grip are striking.
The cuff - short! - is made of neoprene, with a velcro strip to close it. That keeps out dust. Water too, although it will find its way in from almost all other sides, because those who have read up to here already know that the Massif is not a waterproof motorcycle glove.
