The Boxxer 2 H2O is very closely related to the Hydra 2 H2O. They are similar in structure, characteristics and especially in ease of use. In fact, they only differ in one area: the Boxxer 2 H2O is made of leather.
The Boxxer 2 H2O is an excellent insulated motorcycle glove, up to the wrist, with waterproof and breathable membrane. The focus is on wet and cold commuting and then this motorcycle glove has done a very successful effort to ensure comfort.
The striking construction with a knitted cuff under the actual motorcycle glove, is an indication of the urban, commuting, city ... context in which these Boxxer 2 H2O best come into their own. The Boxxer 2 H2O - the latter indeed refers to the waterproofing - consciously combines all-weather protection with a certain elegance, although the presence of a lot of goatskin leather is definitely also a striking element.
Black, not overly thick, they are light and handy. A soft (Thinsulate® G and polar fleece) lining will give you the right feeling from the start: warm and winter do go together. The outer shell is made of goatskin leather and differs from the Hydra 2 H2O liner.
Underneath this very durable and protective outer layer a hydratex®|Z-liner with McFit®-technology ('fit': fit!) provides breathable and waterproof qualities. The hard knuckle protector is another obvious 'motorcycle' element in this very handsome glove, which is really armed to give maximum service in adverse conditions.
The fit, with a close fitting knit cuff that seems to come from under the actual motorcycle glove, may take some getting used to for the enthusiast of longer winter gloves.
The Boxxer 2 H2O is worn under the jacket, that much is clear, and then you get all the advantages of a short motor glove (dexterity, comfort, flexibility) suddenly linked to the positive and weather resistant qualities of a long motor glove.
The fingertips are GPS and smartphone compatible, and with a visor wiper (the fabric between thumb and forefinger), everything is in place to ride through a winter without much fuss. The obligatory closure consists of a velcro strip under the thumb. The REV'IT!-logo is laminated reflective material.
