The Afterburn H2O Lady is a waterproof, casual sofshell motorcycle jacket. Sporty and sleek, soft and yet also very relaxed, with the removable hood. A at first sight somewhat idiosyncratic mix, and it delivers very strong results.
The Afterburn H2O Lady has its origins in the men's version of the original Burn, and the success of that first version prompted REV'IT! to create a women's version as well.
Feel and look of the Afterburn H2O Lady are not 'typical'. Softshell, the hood, it's more like the jacket you put on after getting off the bike. And yet, this is a full-fledged motorcycle jacket. A very strong one at that, in every sense of the word. One in high density softshell. Softshell is all-round, keeps you dry from the inside out and offers comfort in most weather conditions. The 'high-density' hatch in the name reveals that this is a custom-made jacket, and what you lack in the softshell itself, REV'IT! has added.
A removable lining provides the extra insulation when it gets chilly, and a waterproof and breathable - built in and therefore non-removable - Hydratex® membrane protects against all moisture that comes from outside. The double zipper in the front illustrates that you can have some expectations in that area. Ventilation openings can be found on the forearms and the wind exits the Afterburn H2O Lady through the back.
The removable hood hides the sporty nature of the H2O. REV'IT! deliberately left a bit more room so you don't have to muddle your way into this light-feeling motorcycle jacket, but it's still centered, pre-shaped, and tight enough to still give you that sporty feel. You can also adjust yourself: a snap button on the upper arms and velcro strips at the sleeve ends are the main adjustment options. The hood is removable.
Protection is provided by SEESMART™ protectors on the elbows and shoulders, and those who wish can easily fit a SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector - Type RV.
The laminated reflective logo on the chest and the reflective prints on the forearms provide additional visibility. Storage options come in the form of two side pockets (zippered) and two interior pockets on the Afterburn H2O Lady.
A short connection zipper is present, although the combination with a good pair of motorcycle jeans seems a logical choice. Optionally, you can use the Safeway 2 belt.
