A LidLock is a handy accessory to leave your helmet or clothes on the bike when you're out and about. This lock comes in the form of a carabiner (think: mountain climbers, although you should definitely not use it for that!) which opens outwards for the occasion. The latter makes its use just that little bit more convenient.
The lock consists of a four-digit combination that you can choose yourself, by using the supplied pin. The whole thing is surprisingly light and therefore easy to carry. A 105 cm long coiled cable offers you the possibility to attach a motorcycle jacket.
For a correct use you hook the carabiner in the double D-shackle of the helmet, and then attach it. If your helmet has a 'Microlock' closure, use the included T-bar.
Does this mean that you will always be able to fasten and leave your motorcycle helmet and jacket – which together usually cost a nice amount of money, because you don't save on safety - 100% safe everywhere? No. Everything can be broken, including this lock. What it does do, is saddle the occasional thief with an extra problem, and in that way it's a lot safer than just leaving your helmet hanging from your mirror.
