A two-piece leather suit offers a lot of possibilities for the motorcyclist who commutes to work during the week, wants to make a summer ride at the weekend, and also wants to go to the track on occasion. Versatility in two parts, in other words. At GP level.
Leather is still the best guarantee for durability and resistance on and around the asphalt. Alpinestars usually uses quality leather of 1.3 mm and that is not different here. The emphasis is on maximum impact protection and not so much on waterproofing. Although you obviously still choose which season to wear the GP Force. Summer is a good choice, because areas of perforated leather at the shoulders, thighs and forearms, combined with the mesh lining, offer a cooling, breathable and comfortable feeling.
The mesh lining is combined with strategically placed stretch to increase comfort. Lightweight stretch fabric, whether or not combined with leather accordion strips (knee and lower back), can also be found on the arms, elbows and crotch, for a perfect fit. At the sleeve ends, the suit neatly fits to the wrists thanks to a short zipper. The softly finished 3D collar fits in perfectly with the concept of a comfortable motorcycle suit.
The highlight in terms of impact protection is the preparation for the Tech-Air® 5 airbag system which fits this two-piece suit. The "Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System" is the result of years of discovery and endless Alpinestars knowledge and know-how. And actually the first real performance airbag jacket without a real connection to the motorcycle.
It is no excuse to keep the rest of the protectors far below GP-level. DFS Lite, which stands for Dynamic Friction Shield, is how Alpinestars calls the external sliders on the shoulders. Underneath, this motorcycle racing suit has a lot of protectors on board. Alpinestars chooses standard for GP protectors on shoulders and elbows. Additional options are the Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2-certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1-certified) or Nucleon KR-R CELL back protector (level 2-certified, snap-on system) and/or the Nucleon Flex Pro Ci chest protectors. This results in a 'category II prEN17092 standard - AA-class' certification. On the hips you will find standard Nucleon Bio-Flex protection.
The flat zippers at the front, at the wrists and at the end of the pant legs are of high quality. At the bottom of the pant legs, an extra zipper allows adjustment of the (stretchy) calves.
The GP Force pants and jacket are perfect to wear separately. The pants close with a sturdy press button. The all-round connection zipper allows you to quickly turn two separate parts into a full-fledged racing suit. Combinations with other pants from the Alpinestars range are of course also possible.
Reflective details increase visibility in the evening and at night.
We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent maintenance product. This treatment ensures that the jacket does not get wet and also ensures that dirt does not attach to the jacket. For longer-term maintenance, we recommend using a spray for matte leather, so that the leather remains supple.
