The Stella
T-Kira V2 Waterproof motorcycle jacket is specially designed for female riders,
and is a textile motorcycle jacket with a sporty cut. This jacket has everything
that's missing in the summer version: a waterproof membrane, removable thermal
lining and ventilation zippers.
Hold on, that’s a lot of information all at
once.
’Stella’? In the world of Alpinestars, this means 'all lady’. Anatomically different approach and therefore not a smaller version of the men's motorcycle jacket. Mesh? Yes indeed: with the Stella T-Kira V2 Air there is a related summer version of this waterproof jacket. Almost identical, but suitable for that one part of the year when this 2-in-1 scores a little lower (summer). That the two are perfectly compatible is obvious.
The exterior of this Stella T-Kira V2 Waterproof consists of a multi-material. Textile with wear-resistant properties and a first guarantee for safe travelling. The waterproof membrane is integrated and therefore not removable. The thermal lining can be removed to maintain a body temperature in the double digits on cold rides. Of course, you need ventilation zippers and, in this case, they are placed in such a way that good air circulation seems to come naturally.
Those were the major differences. The sporty but slightly longer cut in the back can be found in both versions. The aim is of course to cover your lower back when you sit on the bike in a slightly curved position. The shoulder area with wide stretch accordion strips is also a recurring phenomenon in both the waterproof and the ventilated Stella T-Kira V2. Logically, you can move freely, comfortably and well in both. As it should be with a motorcycle jacket with these ambitions, the cut is short, although you will not suffer from a cold lower back. The low collar and the sleeve ends are lined with soft microfiber and thanks to the velcro at the waist and sleeve ends you can vary the fit.
Safety first, also in the Stella T-Kira V2 Waterproof, so you can count on Nucleon Flex Plus protection on shoulders and elbows. For those who are less familiar with the exact characteristics of impact protection: soft, light, flexible and still good. Who wants to go one level higher, can easily fit the Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro Ci chest protector and Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2 certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1 certified). And yes, also the recent Tech-Air® 5, Alpinestars own electronic airbag safety system, can be used in combination with the Stella T-Kira V2 Waterproof motorcycle jacket.
A Napoleon pocket, two interior pockets and two exterior zippered pockets provide the necessary storage space. In the thermal lining you can add two more inner pockets. Reflective details do their job and keep it discreet during the day.
The combination possibilities with the long connection zipper are completely open, as long as you keep it within the Alpinestars range.
