At first glance, the Tariko is relatively short for an adventure boot, some of which reach almost up to below the knee. Compared, the 28 cm boot is rather limited. Not that this makes the Tariko less of an adventure boot. On the contrary. The longer you look, the more convinced you become of the fact that this does open up a few possibilities. Oh, and have you seen the price yet?
With the Tariko Modeka delivers a striking adventure boot. The two flexible synthetic buckles are typical for this market segment and as soon as you adjust the length, getting in becomes a real pleasure. Microlock buckles do what they promise: allow you to get out of the motorcycle shoe quickly as well. Not that we want to get out of the Tariko quickly. The exterior is in high quality, matte cowhide leather which is not only pleasant to look at. This is a practical and enjoyable motorcycle boot, especially if you take rugged adventure features into consideration.
The Hipora® membrane makes the Tariko water- and windproof. With the nuance that 28 centimeters boot height of course is not the only road to salvation. Hence the knee height of a number of adventure colleagues although we confess that even seasoned endurance riders and cross-country racers don't always get that dirty this high. Those who like the adventure look and who like the impression that they can plough through the mud straightaway are in the right place with this Tariko. The top of the shaft - with the typical elastic, closing band - even gives it away that this could definitely be a muddy boot.
The heel and toe are clearly reinforced. The ankle can also count on extra reinforcement, just like the shin. Thanks in part to the continuous rubber sole, the Tariko is pretty robust motorcycle footwear. The adventure style will also contribute to this. The matte black leather is interrupted at the front by a smoother accordion piece. Shift reinforcement is evident.
Reflective material on the heel increases visibility. Useful in the dark, but we suspect that the Tariko will stand out sufficiently during the day.
