The GP Force is a relatively accessible and approachable one-piece racing suit. Not in the sense that you jump in and out of it lightning fast, but that you find a lot of value for money here. For the motorcyclist who wants to make a summer ride in the weekend and goes to the tracks occasionally. At GP level or just below.
Leather is still the best guarantee for durability and resistance on and around the asphalt. Alpinestars usually uses quality leather of 1.3 mm and that is not different here. The emphasis is on maximum fall protection and not so much on waterproofing. Although you obviously still choose in which season you go out with the GP Force. Summer is a good choice anyway, because zones of perforated leather at the shoulders, thighs and forearms, combined with the mesh lining, offer a cooling, breathable and comfortable feeling.
The mesh lining is combined with strategically placed stretch to increase comfort. Lightweight stretch fabric, whether or not combined with leather accordion strips (knee and lower back), can also be found on the arms, elbows and crotch, for a perfect fit. At the sleeve ends, the suit neatly fits to the wrists thanks to a short zipper. The softly finished 3D collar fits in perfectly with the concept of a comfortable motorcycle suit.
The highlight in terms of impact protection is the preparation for the Tech-Air® 5 airbag system which can be fitted in this one-piece motorcycle suit. The "Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System" is the result of years of research and endless Alpinestars knowledge and know-how. And actually the first real performance airbag jacket without a real connection to the motorcycle.
It is no excuse to keep the rest of the protectors far below GP-level. DFS Lite, that's how Alpinestars calls the external sliders on the shoulder, stands for Dynamic Friction Shield. Underneath, this motorcycle racing suit also has a lot of protectors. Alpinestars chose for GP protectors on shoulders and elbows. Additional options are the Nucleon KR-R CELL back protector (level 2 certified, snap-on system) and/or the Nucleon Flex Pro Ci chest protectors. It results in a 'category II prEN17092 standard - AA class' certification. On the hips you will find Nucleon Bio-Flex protection.
The flat zippers at the front, at the wrists and at the end of the pant legs are of high quality. At the bottom of the pant legs, an extra zipper allows adjustment of the (stretchy) calves.
Reflective details increase your visibility in the evening and at night.
We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent maintenance product. This treatment will prevent the jacket from getting soaked and will also prevent dirt from sticking to the jacket. For longer-term maintenance, we recommend using a spray for matte leather, so that the leather remains supple.
