GIVI's basic principle is that this new, additional cargo bag should be used as - ah yes - extra luggage option. Literally on top of a larger roll bag or saddlebag. Of course, you can also attach it to the GRT721 base, or to the GRT720 side panniers or the GRT712B cargo bag.
Can you use this extra 18-liter carrier bag on its own? There have been bigger debacles that have arrived safely at their holiday destination, so no worries there, but why make a difficult puzzle out of something that can fit together ‘like a glove’? This extra cargo bag is made for the combination. And the light weight (and light ripstop material) can certainly benefit from a more robust base.
It provides you with an extra 18 liters, in the form of a cylinder. One storage compartment, simple and straightforward, as you would expect from a traditional roll bag – because that’s what it is. The closure on one side, with the very typical roll closure, creates a watertight seal.
You attach this extra roll bag by means of separate straps and weave them through the (black) strips that are specially provided for this purpose.
