The Starter from GMS has a price that lives up to its name. Everything about these biker pants says 'low entry level' and there is nothing wrong with that. Suitable for both men and women, and with a size chart that goes up to K12XL (men) and K10XL (women), the main assets are clear.
Practical usability at a razor-sharp price, that's what it's all about. The outer shell in 'Germadura' 600D, the preferred abrasion-resistant GMS material, together with the removable thermal lining, highlight its versatility. Between the two is also an integrated waterproof membrane and then you know immediately that many days of motorcycling can already be ticked off. Reliability is a must. There are no ventilation openings, so we keep it to three seasons.
The above pad fits closely to the Taylor by GMS, the motorcycle jacket with which these pants form a perfect combination. And what is true for the jacket, is also true for the pants: for this price you can't go wrong.
Two side pockets with zippers provide the necessary storage space. Not much frills, or it should be the GMS logo on both knees. It has reflective properties, but the CE-certified knee protectors situated underneath provide the necessary impact protection. Hip protectors are optional.
At the waist, GMS opted for velcro straps with loops to give you a little extra leeway and adjustment possibilities. The zippered button keeps the motorcycle pants neatly closed, and as far as the cut goes, we can say it's pretty straightforward. The back – in your lower back - is worked out a little higher. In other words, classic, black motorcycle pants.
Acrobatics are not required to get in and out of the GMS Starter: a zipper at the bottom of each pant leg prevents you from having to do any crazy tricks.
