The versatile, 100% waterproof Defender 3 GTX features a zip-off GORE-TEX membrane, and is a functional solution for all-season riders, commuters, and tourers with an adventurous mindset. Usable in all conditions, adaptable and just plain comfortable to wear.
The Defender 3 GTX motorcycle pants are a continuation - and not a casual one - of the Defender line, which has always been at the top of the league when it comes to zip-off membranes and waterproof all-rounders.
This 3-in-1 has the same adventurous look and feel as the Defender 3 GTX jacket. Remarkable is that its predecessors always omitted the removable thermal lining. In this most recent version, the removable thermal lining is back. Together with the removable GORE-TEX membrane, this results in as many options as there are weather conditions. Especially when you also know that the ventilation panels in the outer layer, just like in the eponymous motorcycle jacket, use the proprietary Fidlock® system, which means that they are surely open, by means of magnets.
All that textile technology is largely hidden under the shell: a clever combination of PWR|shell 750D, PWR|shell stretch and PWR|shell ripstop. They don't come much more durable than this. For completeness we like to mention the reflecting details, the use of suregrip to keep you firmly on the seat and the leather parkskin patches on the inside of the knees.
These pants are equipped with height-adjustable SEEFLEX™ level 2 CE-rated knee protectors and SEESMART™ CE-level 1 hip protectors.
To close the Defender 3 GTX, REV'IT uses a proprietary zipper-push-button combination. Adjustment options at the waist are available in the form of length-adjustable straps with a buckle. That same belt is also found at the bottom, below the knee.
Two zipped side pockets allow you to keep things close at hand. At the bottom you have a zipper to get in and out of the pants and you can actually vary the width of the pant leg: velcro and a zipper offer enough possibilities and prevent you from finding out halfway through the removal of the pants that they don't want to go over your motorcycle boots.
The Defender 3 GTX is equipped to attach Strapper suspenders, and the double (long and short) connecting zipper at the back allows it to be combined with a motorcycle jacket of your choice from the REV'IT range, although it seems obvious that in this case the eponymous Defender 3 GTX motorcycle jacket is preferred.
