REV'IT's collaboration with luggage and backpack expert Kriega has resulted in pleasant, lightweight motorcycle backpacks. Or rather, a sample of top-notch engineering to be carried on your back. Kriega and REV'IT! bring out the best in each other.
As the smallest and most adventurous of the bunch, this Arid H2O definitely stands out. Something for adventurous day-trippers and enduro enthusiasts who want quality.
The name gives it away: drought and water are not far away here. Specifically, we're talking about the 3.75-liter Hydrabag from Kriega that you can fit into this Arid H2O. The specific space in which this camelbag fits, takes up 5 of the 9 liters of available storage space, so we'll turn things around: the Arid H2O from REV'IT! and Kriega is a storage backpack for your water reserve, and you can also take along some smaller stuff.
That's what the 4-liter separate storage compartment in the front is for. The one with the roll-up closure, indeed. And thus waterproof, indeed. And before you stuff a wet shirt or your motorcycle gloves in there: stop, for that you have the Hypalon net in front. Fun fact: they also use this material in zodiacs, so no black smears as soon as some water comes in contact with it and it can take a watery beating. The elastic cord and the synthetic material give the whole thing a military look, not coincidentally an adventurous segment.
A serious water reserve, a few not too big extras that you want to deliver dry and the possibility to get home those motor gloves that just ended up in the creek, so there we are. The main question is whether all of this can be done in a good, pleasant, practical and comfortable way? And that's when you know: yes.
Kriega is a specialist for a reason. Just like REV'IT! The Kriega Quadlock-Lite™ harness fitted to the Arid H2O is a piece of top technology. Chest, shoulders, and waist support the load evenly, and the mesh panel on the back keeps it comfortable. By default, each strap is adjustable – of course - but be sure to note the additional ability to adjust the shoulder straps not only at the bottom but also at the top, on the shoulders. The idea behind this is that the chest strap can be positioned perfectly, regardless of your body shape. The way it's done, without any excess flapping around, is in three letters 'top'.
The construction that Kriega makes available here makes it possible to carry the Arid H2O on your back for a whole day, without worries. The whole thing (made of ripstop and 500D, with a reflective logo) gives a solid impression. And as often, it's the details that make it complete. Look for the Kriega 'K' and the REV'IT! logo on both shoulder straps and we promise you'll smile.
Luggage and backpack expert Kriega is pretty sure of itself and gives a 10-year warranty on all their products. The same applies for this cooperation between REV’IT! and Kriega, which now results in a faster change of motorcycle than we do of our rider backpack.
