The Hydraflux
2 Air Lady D-Dry®motorcycle
jacket can be seen as versatility personified. Air and D-Dry® in
one package. Which means: ventilation with waterproofness. For every woman who
loves to be on the bike, often.
Yes indeed: for real girl bikers. In this
ladies’
version, Dainese
opts for an adapted cut that fits better around the body and especially, the
female upper body.
Its structure of course, is something else. The exterior of the Hydraflux 2 Air Lady D-Dry®motorcycle jacket consists of a perforated and ventilated mesh. Wear-resistant yet designed to give riding wind free play. Its official name: Omega-mesh: light but strong. Quick-drying inserts keep everything together and provide an extra layer of wear-resistance on shoulders, sleeves and flanks. Below that, there is a waterproof lining that can be folded and stored compactly in order to whip it out swiftly when the need arises. The removable D-Dry®membrane appears to be extremely thin but can withstand a brisk shower nonetheless.
Ventilation openings are superfluous, obviously, same as thermal linings.
Ventilated and waterproof, that’s quite a treat already.
Impact protection
consists of removable EN1621.1-certified composite protectors on shoulders and
elbows, with the option to integrate a back protector.
Two slash pockets with zipper give a little storage space. There are no other pockets: ventilation material and the tight – feminine – cut emphasize other things. The result of the tight cut is that there isn’t an endless stream of adjustment possibilities. The waterproof membrane is ultrathin so a strip of Velcro on your waist, sleeve ends and collar is enough to make the Hydraflux 2 Air Lady D-Dry®motorcycle jacket fit perfectly.
There is no connecting zipper. Combination with decent motorcycle jeans seems apparent.
Below you will find an overview per body length of the appropriate CE homologated Dainese back protector.
