Dainese offers one answer to the rising demand for decent, all-round-performing and a little adventurous multi-purpose gear: the Tempest 3 D-Dry® Lady. Or to be correct: this is the third answer to that same question. Everybody benefits. Apart from adventurous lady bikers, all-season girl bikers and commuters will love this solution.
This Tempest 3 D-Dry® Lady received a distinct feminine cut and design and consists externally – it’s almost become obvious – mainly of wear- and tear resistant material: Cordura® no unfamiliar name in this regard and the more robust D-Stone® for the critical areas. Below that, there’s an integrated D-Dry®membrane. Non-removable, which makes the Tempest 3 D-Dry® Lady probably better suited when it’s not high-summer, although the ventilation openings with zipper on the chest and sleeves provide sufficient airflow, just like the two outlet openings in the back.
The 130-gram heavy thermal jacket does, however, tip the scale more towards the colder periods. That jacket can be unzipped seamlessly and – thanks to a high-quality finishing – be worn perfectly autonomously. So, without the actual motorcycle jacket and protective material.
There are ample adjustment possibilities. On the upper arms, Dainese
goes for a couple of push buttons, beside the Velcro strip at the sleeve ends.
An adjustable belt with buckle on the hips allows you to center the Tempest 3
D-Dry® Lady
perfectly. Given its slightly longer cut (touring) that’s no luxury. A
drawstring at the bottom gives a few additional options.
You close the collar
with (non-aggressive) Velcro and a collar hook in the shape of a push button is
a nice addition. A belt-with-buckle offers a few centimeters of extra
adjustment.
A motorcycle jacket that clearly strives for the cut and design of the superior touring jacket, cannot be without storage space. Two outer pockets and two inner pockets, supplemented with a ‘cargo pocket’ on the back, is, however, not excessive.
Obviously, there’s impact protection. Everything has been provided to integrate the optional back protector. The removable Pro-Armor composite protectors on elbows and shoulders come standard. As they are certified individually, they contribute to the general CE-certification of the Tempest 3 D-Dry® Lady as a whole.
The neatly finished push buttons, the thermal jacket, the integrated membrane… There are many assets, which aren’t too expensive in this case. A jacket-pants fastening system, also known as ‘the long connecting zipper’, leaves a lot of combination options open. The Tempest 3 D-Dry® Lady-motorcycle pants is logically the best candidate.
