Wear- and tear-resistant, it delivers the Tempest 3 D-Dry®-motorbike pants their typical – slightly rough – outer shell that acts as first line of defense. Extra reinforcement in the critical areas is provided by D-Stone®, that acts as second line of defense. Both components create a solid exterior that can take a beating.
Positive for motorcycle pants, although that doesn’t mean your pants are multi-purpose. That is why Dainese adds the D-DRY®-membrane. Integrated and non-removable, this delivers a dual-layered pair of waterproof motorbike pants, that excels in practical comfort. D-DRY® is the only Dainese membrane that links maximum waterproofness with a high level of breathing comfort.
The thermal lining, easily removable, is there to battle low temperatures, while during high temperatures, the long ventilation zippers on the thighs are unzipped.
The typical elements of reliable motorcycle pants are all present: accordion panels above the knee, a high and well-finished lower back that is part of a detailed waist construction, anti-skid material on the seat, two zippable pockets and a stripe of reflective material.
Getting in and out of them is easy, even with a pair of motorcycle boots on. The Tempest 3 D-Dry® has, apart from a long zipper on each pant leg, also a set of decent Velcro strips on the calves, which ensures that there is enough play, which isn’t unpractical at all.
Not unpractical is also the fact that the Pro-Armor knee protectors are of decent quality by default. Soft, flexible, light and excellently perforated. A YKK-closure (the triangle slides the button closed) makes sure that the Tempest 3 D-Dry®-motorcycle pants won’t open out of the blue. Two Velcro straps-with-loop at the waist are the ideal solution to a perfect fit.
