This shirt is actually a full-fledged, waterproof motorcycle garment and is perfectly suited to get on your motorcycle safely. Ideal for those who love motorcycle clothing that doesn't look like motorcycle clothing.
Although the first impression does not immediately suggest it, this Sierra is sturdy. At first sight this may seem something for shorter journeys and perhaps the sun will convince you a bit quicker to choose this, although the latter is by no means necessary. The Sierra is perfect to hang next to the other motorcycle jackets. It's a motorcycle jacket! A waterproof one at that. Despite the visual resemblance with a lumberjack shirt.
The snaps conceal a sturdy central zipper and the outer shell, reinforced with abrasion-resistant Dupont Kevlar®, together with the integrated, non-removable waterproof membrane, form the same recipe as in many 'real' motorcycle jackets. Purely aesthetic therefore, the tendency is to link fewer features to it. And wrongly so.
Admittedly, it means that you probably won't consider a highway or trackday with this Sierra shirt from Segura. In theory you can: with ALPHA elbow and shoulder protectors it stays on the same level as many other Segura motorcycle jackets. By adding an optional back protector, you can add an extra element of safety.
The outer pockets are located on the chest and can be closed with snaps. You also get two inner pockets. That's more than in a real shirt and a bit less than in a motorcycle jacket. To prevent from screaming through town with a fluttering and flapping lumberjack shirt, use the belt loops.
A shirt-slash-motorcycle jacket like the Sierra calls for motorcycle jeans, possibly a pair of motorcycle sneakers and the presence of a café racer or something at least very similar.
