The Halo Drystar®-motorcycle jacket by Alpinestars is an odd motorcycle jacket. Or better: an atypical one. It’s also innovative, technically sound and adapted to just about every weather condition you can come across on your trip. But it’s still an atypical motorcycle jacket.
And it shows.
By the position of the central zipper, that isn’t central at all. By the waterproof Drystar®-membrane that can be worn over and underneath the outer layer, which turns the outer layer into not the outer layer. By the large storage compartments in the front and back. By the even larger ventilation panels in the front and back. By the removable sleeves. Yes. The removable sleeves.
Further, the Halo Drystar®-motorcycle jacket is Tech-Air®-ready and fits the Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System. Top protection against impact and weather conditions. But still: atypical.
The Halo Drystar®-motorcycle jacket by Alpinestars combines so many things that it required an atypical format. You can’t be waterproof and full-mesh ventilated and have lots of storage space and be dry and wet in summer and winter when you’re ‘typical’.
So, Alpinestars choose to go atypical.
The asymmetrically placed central zipper is placed on the side. This leaves room for a wide ventilation panel. Combined with an equally large ventilation panel on the back, this creates an optimal air stream. Excess fabric is stowed away behind the large storage compartments. In those compartments, you keep the zipped off sleeves and the Drystar®-membrane that can be used as a full-blown raincoat.
Reducing the Halo to its essence exposes the Nucleon Flex Pro Armor impact protection on shoulders and elbows. Unless it rains during a hot ride, because then you simply wear the Drystar®-membrane over everything else. Those who wish, can easily integrate a Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2 certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1 certified).
Alpinestars created a multi-purpose motorcycle jacket for frequent riders and all-season riders who want to stop just long enough to make a small adjustment and then continue their trip.
The images will obviously be more telling than words can describe. Take it from us: the Halo Drystar®-motorcycle jacket by Alpinestars requires a little getting used to, a little discovery and a little investigating but the results are incredible. In the ‘regular’ elements – what we expect to find in every motorcycle jacket – it is still completely Alpinestars. Read: quality with an impressive pedigree. A soft collar for extra comfort, tight-fitting cuffs, adjustment possibilities on the sleeves that each carry a label in order to easily reattach left and right. Lots of storage space, kidney belt, reflective details…
The Halo Drystar®-motorcycle jacket by Alpinestars is an atypical motorcycle jacket that brings a lot of typical features on that next ride.
The many adjustment options affect its protection level, though: with sleeves, the Halo Drystar®-motorcycle gear is class AA. Unzip the sleeves and you are left with class A.
