These high-quality motorcycle gloves are a direct variation to the SP-8-theme by Alpinestars. Leather, comfort, a high dose of impact protection and in this case a waterproof membrane, all embedded in a sharp and sporty design.
The perforated leather panels that contribute to the ventilation properties in the ‘regular’ SP-8-version, were replaced by a laminated HDry®-membrane that is still the best warranty for dry hands from the outside. Almost everything else has been maintained by Alpinestars. The main material used to manufacture the SP-8 HDry® is still goatskin leather, where lots of attention goes to steering feel and feedback from the handlebars. A band of stretch between palm and thumb enhances that feeling even more.
Some critical areas were given additional suede reinforcements, like on the thumb, wrist, back of the hand, fingers and palm. In case of the latter, the tangibly firmer ARShield is used.
The ‘SP dual density’ knuckle protector, which originates from the racing world, makes it look extra sharp. The (patented) finger bridge between ring finger and little finger, and a fingertip that can operate a touchscreen are details that truly emphasise the outstanding quality of this motorcycle glove.
The slightly pre-shaped fingers and the new general construction with fewer seams contribute to the Alpinestars SP-8 HDry® motorcycle glove’s comfort.
The cuff was given a sturdy Velcro closure, and can be worn over or underneath your jacket sleeves. Right above the cuff and underneath the thumb, you can neatly close the motorcycle glove with a finer Velcro strip.
