REV'IT decided to shelve their existing collection of motorcycle jeans, sent out a bunch of R&D people, and waited for them to return with a completely new range. With specific female silhouettes on top. Here's the result, in the form of a pair of top-of-the-line motorcycle jeans with triple stitching, tons of fashion consciousness, lots of style and most importantly extra safety.
These Victoria 2 Lady SF jeans have a slim fit, so they should be tight. Note the details: the color of the rivet buttons and the REV'IT! logo on the inside of the central button indicates the CE certification of these jeans. Red is class AAA (which is also the class of leather), blue is AA, and black still holds up as safe.
For those of you who don't know all that much about this: these are still motorcycle jeans, not racing suits. Still, even a certified A-class is always better than a traditional pair of jeans, and in the AAA-class you can estimate the wear-resistance to be twice as high. An 'AA', like this Victoria 2 Lady SF is logically somewhere in between.
The height-adjustable (there are two pockets) knee protector is an RV36 SEESMART CE-level 1 knee protector. Sleek and slim, and more pre-shaped than anything REV'IT! has used before. The slight curve is an asset, especially in the close-fitting motorcycle jeans, although every pair of motorcycle jeans and wearer benefits from a better-designed protector. Especially when, as in this case, they are well-ventilated and fit literally seamlessly in this generation of motorcycle jeans. Protectors like these are custom made, and come in left and right versions.
Hip protectors are standard from the AA class upwards, and are of the SEESMART type, as is knee protection. That means: flexible, ventilated and tight.
Since this is an AA class, you can count on an extra layer at the hips and knees, in the form of the updated PWR | Shield 2.0 system. So, while the commitment to single layer material single layer denim is great, the 'New Stretch Cordura® Denim' gets some reinforcement.
The pockets - here the same five ones as in 'normal' jeans - are reinforced at the edges. Not an attempt at protection, but an effort to give the Victoria 2 Lady SF a longer lifespan. Experience has taught REV'IT! that frayed edges are actually more often the weak spot than effective sliders.
REV'IT! has opted for a laser-washing process, which not only produces excellent visual results, but also prevents premature wear of the denim. Denim comes in colors and sizes, and these may vary according to taste. The Victoria 2 Lady SF comes in used classic blue, used medium blue and used black.
Another nice detail: the (seemingly leather) label on the back is in this case 'vegan approved' and therefore not made of leather at all. And we have been fans of the reflective stripe that only becomes visible when you turn over the pant leg at the bottom.
You wear a pair of sneakers underneath and combine that with a hoody or proper motorcycle jacket.
By using the Safeway 2-belt, these jeans can be zipped to your favorite REV'IT!-motorcycle jacket.
