In a highly successful attempt to take their motorcycle boots to the next level, REV'IT! obtained the long-awaited GORE-TEX® license, and redesigned almost their entire collection.
Is the Everest GTX the best they can do? Well, there are some serious contenders, but the all-weather Everest GTX definitely ranks among the top motorcycle boots. With its light weight and waterproof properties, it is always a potential candidate, for every season and actually for every type of motorcyclist.
The Everest GTX - like the lower Descent H2O motorcycle boot - stands out a bit due to the choice of Hypalon as one of the components on the outside. In addition to various leather types, polyester, a rubber trim and a dash of reflective material. The mesh Hypalon has a direct link to the backpacks REV'IT! created with Kriega, and is lighter and more flexible than if the Everest GTX were made entirely of leather. This is undoubtedly an advantage, and it doesn't prevent the Everest GTX from being sturdy. That they are breathable and waterproof, we like to repeat this, is the first thing you get used to.
These motorcycle boots open and close with a zipper which runs over the entire length of the shaft. A cover flap prevents weak - read: water-permeable - points from forming here.
Impact protection comes from the side panels, and the reinforcements at the ankle, heel and toe. The EVA sole is a REV'IT!-concept, so it should come as no surprise that it comes into its own here. Now, with plenty of grip and a specific pattern underneath, that’s probably be anywhere. Also note the details: the coordinates of the REV'IT! production site are written in the sole. An OthoLite® footbed completes the picture.
