In a highly successful attempt to take their motorcycle boots to the next level, REV'IT! secured the long-awaited GORE-TEX® license, and redesigned almost their entire collection.
With the comfortable, highly customizable (oh what a great BOA® fastener!) Discovery GTX, REV'IT! delivers an absolute eye-catcher. The basics and safety of an off-road motorcycle boot are complemented by the comfort of a touring boot, and if that wasn't enough, REV'IT! also adds a dose of trekking qualities. That's right. The lower half of the Discovery GTX can easily hide in an adventure line-up with the better hiking boot. Its sturdy shin protection then gives away that it is a motorcycle boot, but in this case, we make absolutely no issue of that.
The Discovery GTX comes from the same source as the Expedition GTX, and shares with that classmate the overall light weight and breathable yet waterproof GORE-TEX® features. The BOA® closure is also a common element. And rightly so, because the result is a motorcycle boot that goes on and off at lightning speed and stays on wonderfully well and tightly at the same time. Fast, easy, practical, convenient ... we could go on and on.
The BOA® fastener is located on the inner boot, under the hard shin guard. Together with the outer shell in Cordura, full grain leather and rubber, it forms a serious first line of defense upon impact. The side panels have been provided extra, there's a SEESOFT®-protector in the tongue and the preformed heel, toe and shin guards do the rest. The obligatory reflective element remains discreet.
The total package is simply impressive. Add to that the OrthoLite® footbed and the Vibram® sole, which was further developed under the name 'Apex' to specifically deliver more grip and stability, and you know you are armed to take on virtually any adventure. Wet and dry, on foot or on your bike. Or all at once.
