This leather Median - for ladies only - is closely related to the Xena 3 motorcycle jacket, but has everything to be at least as big a success on its own. The Median Lady has just as much sporty charisma, a high degree of fashion consciousness and a lot of motorbike fun in one package, is sleekly designed and can be used in a wide variety of conditions.
The exterior is a sensible mix of soft buffalo leather, PWR|SHELL-stretch, neoprene and a - very subtle - reflective accent. We should say softer buffalo leather. The Median molds itself just a bit smoother to the body of its owner than the Xena 3 and the cut is more accessible (read: a bit less sharp and tight). It places the Median Lady next to the Xena 3, not before or after. With a slightly wider target audience and a usefulness that is even more versatile. It all feels as one warm, cozy embrace. A little less sharp than razor-sharp is still pretty tight.
On cooler moments, the removable thermal lining will give you a lot of pleasure. No bodywarmer here (Xena 3) but a full variant. This illustrates that the Median Lady is not a pure racer. And it is even more armed against the weather conditions. The lower half of the riding temperatures seems to be more attainable. Keep in mind that water and leather are not in ideal relationships.
Stretch material - in the right place and in the right quantity - ensures that you can still put your hair in a tail. With two velcro straps at the waist you can vary a bit. The sleeve ends are fastened with a zipper and velcro strip, so you can choose between wearing your gloves on top or underneath the jacket.
There is not much storage space. More than in a race suit, less than in a touring jacket. Choosing is always a bit of losing, but two zippered pockets or the inner thermal lining pocket will certainly do the trick.
Impact protection is obviously at top level for a motorcycle jacket of this order. SEEFLEX™ Level 2 CE-protection on elbows and shoulders are standard, and at the same time exceed the standard. The absence of external shoulder and elbow sliders is an additional indication towards the street use and versatility we talked about earlier. A SEESOFT™ or SEESOFT™ Air CE-level 2 back protector can of course be integrated as an option.
It all stays sharp and savvy, but with greater accessibility and a lower threshold, the Median may prove to be an even greater success than the Xena 3.
The long and short connecting zippers make the combination with the Luna motorbike pants an obvious choice when you go for a real leather look. Of course, any pair of REV'IT jeans will do, and two belt loops are provided.
