The Mile - referring to the measure of distance - is a contemporary interpretation of the 1970s. A retro classic, in shiny leather and with a sporty appearance. Oh, and very versatile.
REV'IT! sees the Mile as the link between the past and the guarantee of a carefree future. This is an archetype, an iconic shape and style, made from more recent and better materials than any of its predecessors, but always with a direct connection. Modern technology and historical relevance in one package.
The list of materials used, by the way, is worth the effort. Most striking is of course the cowhide leather which subtly alternates between shiny (bottom half) and matte (top). Both with moderation and without much grain, because the 1970s visually preferred that style. A stripe of artificial leather on the chest breaks the Mile in two, although that's mainly a design issue, because almost the entire inside of the sleeves and the shoulder pads are made of PWR|Shell stretch, something which makes the Mile a very modern and, above all, comfortable jacket.
Neoprene in the collar and the reflective vertical line at the back are undeniably contemporary, and the same can be said of the 3D panel (mesh) that is located behind the central zipper, creating two centimeters of ventilation opening along the entire length of the jacket. With a removable thermal lining, the Mile is a pretty ideal companion on the daily commute. And afterwards too, when you want to make your appearance somewhere in stylish leather. You should perhaps not use it for world trips and a week's touring. Water resistance is also not obvious if cow leather is the main material. What you leave out in that area, you win of course in the field of class. And comfort. Two slash pockets with zipper and as many inner pockets give you enough storage space.
Like every good leather motorcycle jacket, the Mile becomes a second skin. It conforms to your body. That means it can be very tight. Especially with the thermal lining and in the beginning of wearing it. Two (very cleverly concealed) press studs on the waist give you a few centimeters of space. The sleeve ends get a zipper, the collar can do without extra fastener.
The SEESMART®CE fall protection has proven its efficiency in the meantime. Shoulders and elbows are equipped with it and the focus is again on comfort and flexibility. This motorcycle jacket is prepared to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT® type RV or SEESOFT® Air CE back protector.
The retro vibe is rarely far away, and neither is modern technology. A pair of motorcycle jeans seems to be the best combination.
